Boy and Girl Scouts of America

St. Joseph charters both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.  While St. Joseph is the home of these scouting organization, they invite anyone in the Richardson and Garland community who are eligible, to join.

Cub Scout Pack 777- Cub Scouting is a family centered program, designed to meet the needs of boy’s ages seven through ten or from first through fifth grade. Through fun and challenging activities, Cub Scouts is designed to promote duty to God, family and community while encouraging education, character and physical development. Boys have the opportunity to earn beads, arrow points, belt loops and pins for completing achievements toward their rank advancement.

Boy Scout Troop 777- Boy Scouting is a leadership and character development program for boys age 11 through 18 or in the sixth through twelfth grade. With the assistance of adult leadership, these boys develop self confidence and personal values based on the Scout Oath and Scout Law. These values include: doing your best, duty to God and country, helping others, personal health and morality and being trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent. Boys have the opportunity to earn as many as 122 merit badges along with seven rank advancements, including the highly recognized rank of Eagle Scout.

Dasies and Brownies - While part of the larger Girl Scout organization, Dasies and Brownies cater to the younger girls in 1st through 3rd grades.

Girl Scouts - This organization is for older girls in the 4th through the 12th grades.
