Family and Adult Ministry seeks to provide a comprehensive approach for enriching Catholic family life through many areas:
Addictions Ministry – provides compassion for persons who are struggling with alcohol, drug or other addictions and for their family members. Referrals to confidential services are available.
Annulments – a process for persons who have been previously married whether married in the Catholic Church or not. All previous marriages must be reviewed by the Catholic Church’s Marriage Tribunal office prior to a marriage in the Catholic Church. The process offers an opportunity for healing and reconciling with the Church. There is NO CHARGE to introduce a case.
Baptism Formation for Parents – the preparatory seminar for parents who desire to have their children under the age of 7 baptized. The seminar is held, usually, on the first Saturday of the month in January, February, April, May, July, August, October and November, 9:00AM-1:00PM. (Some holidays might affect this schedule.) Monday evening seminar is held in a two-session format during March, June and September, 7:00-9:00PM. (Both sessions are required.) Pre-registration is required for the seminar. Cost: $20.00 per family. For regisration brochure with dates, click here.
Convalidation of a Civil Marriage – a process for a “new declaration of intent” in the Catholic Church. It has previously erroneously been referred to as a “blessing” of a civil marriage. A marriage enrichment seminar and a marriage enrichment assessment are required prior to the convalidation of the marriage.
