UNACCOMPANIED MINORS FROM CENTRAL AMERICA
The following video and links are messages from our diocese and the USCCB on the children immigration crises at our borders. Please view the video and click on the links for additional information.  The first link is from the Diocese website and includes the video; it’s a message from our Bishop. The other two are from the USCCB website; one is a printout of the testimony of Bishop Seitz before a Congressional committee and the other suggests ways we can help the children.

MEN OF ST. JOSEPH in PHILOS
The purpose of the St. Joseph men's fellowship group is to come together in Philia (friendship or brotherly love) to pray, fellowship and study our Lord’s Catholic teaching in order to better know, understand and follow God’s will for us as Men of God and members of the Body of Christ. We strive to become a good Catholic, a better Catholic and a Saint.

This fellowship was begun in response to the Holy See’s call for a “new evangelization” which is synonymous with renewed spiritual efforts in the life of faith within the local Churches, starting with a process to discern the changes in various cultural and social settings and their impact on Christian life, to reread the memory of faith and to undertake new responsibilities and generate new energies to joyously and convincingly proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (Synod of Bishops XIII, Ordinary General Assembly “The New Evangelization for the Transmission of the Christian Faith: LINEAMENT”)

We desire to make this ministry available to men of St. Joseph Catholic Church who sincerely hope for an authentic Christian life. We do not want to become a focus and activity center for men but to focus on our own faith and families. We believe that the family is vastly superior to any organization in its ability to renew both Church and society. Therefore, any activities of the parish men’s fellowship group will be for the purpose of equipping and encouraging men for more effective service within their families and communities much like Ephesians 4.

If you are interested in joining together with other men to grow and nourish your relationship with God through the teaching of Jesus Christ and the working of the Holy Spirit, please contact Brad Seiler at brad@tx.rr.com.
